Saturday 4/27:
UNT Faculty Dance Concert Party (secret location)

If you know about this party, you know I’ll be playing only the weirdest cuts that make you wanna dance like a seahorse on bath salts.

Even if you don’t know about the party, you can still go see the Concert at UNT, where you’ll hear several my compositions. They might make you wanna dance too, but as an audience member, you probably shouldn’t:

You may recall when I dropped Cultural Refugee earlier this year, I offered it not only as an album for your listening pleasure, but also as a tool and catalyst for your creative exploits. I’ve been posting the pieces artists have sent me using the album in the series The Raps You Never Heard. Usually i get them one, maybe two at a time. Not this time. Denton’s AV the Great (AKA Chris Cole on K104) decided to just go ahead and do a whole album: Poetry. Check it out.

I hope you like the taste of blood because Dallas’ Guillotine the Kasino Champ released his record It’s Better To Be Alive on Halloween this year. It’s the type of album you might just want to light some candles, curl up on the sofa with some nice hot cocoa and a cozy blanket, and watch a snuff film marathon to, you know? I produced and featured on “Crime of Passion,” a touching love story told by 2 hopeless romantics.

Audible Illusion 11.3.12

This Saturday J&J’s Pizza hosts Audible Illusion, featuring performances by Eversive, an artist who recently relocated to Austin from Corpus Christi, where he continues to operate an event called Sole Glow Collective, and JayLotus, a jazz/bebop and hip hop/electronic artist from Houston, TX who studied Jazz Sax and Electronic Productions & Sound Design at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, along with Denton’s Juicy the Emissary and Shag, who will be celebrating the release of his new project Me Again. Dallas’ DJ Abstrak will be providing choice cuts and turntablism throughout the night.

Scrunch-face beats and lush soundscapes accompanied by curious visuals in a dark, funky basement.
